Christmas Morning

Washington, DC--The city felt empty all day. It was 1:30pm when I took this photo on 13th Street NW, not a soul to be seen. Most of the stores were closed and the forecast was cloudy and freezing rain in the afternoon.

The weather was better here but nobody was around until late afternoon...
Happy Holidays!

yes, when I lived in Adams Morgan it was dead silent all Christmas week .... a little eerie actually since the area is normally so very active and noisy. (In Arlington now where it's dead silent and eerie all of the time!)

What a contrast to Athens, Greece...
It is such a silence that I do miss most.

Please have a nice Sunday.

I love the empty streets of after party, a feeling somewhat surreal
where everything seems to sleep ...
A wonderful photo!
Thanks!
