Washington, DC--Even on a very cold day, people enjoy visiting The National Mall and the monuments around it. The reflecting pool is frozen today and tourists are not supposed to walk on the ice. But some did before the police asked them to get off the ice.

I think in the summer this tower gives fantastic reflection in the pool. Stately view.
A very nice photo today. The light is lovely.
genial, lo tiene todo , enhorabuena, un abrazo
An unusual and wonderful image of this spectacular place!
Looks cold! I agree with Vogon - wonderful image!
Tourists will be tourists! But it must be a different experience to walk on a frozen pond.

Wow, impresionante. Que bien te quedó el obelisco y el capitolio al lado.
Excellent capture! I've seen the Tidal Basin and the Potomac frozen, but I've never happened by the Reflecting Pool when it's been cold enough.
Truly an amazing shot!
What an amazing photography, looks somehow as if it was painted. Chapeau !
Agree with you that tourists do behave quiet strange, when they are outside of their own town.
Please have a wonderful Tuesday.
