Thomas Circle
Washington, DC--As I have mentioned before, DC is a low-rise city. There are no skyscrapers and buildings in the downtown area cannot exceed the height of the U.S. Capitol. Last night I went to a rooftop bar on the 13th floor of a hotel very close to my house. Since buildings are not very tall, the view was quite nice. In the image you see half of Thomas Circle NW (at the bottom), the National City Christian Church (top center), to the left Massachusetts Avenue going northwest, and to the right is 14th Street NW (due north).
